Bulbstorm provides a community where you can share ideas and receive feedback from friends and other members of the community. Since successful innovations most often require expertise from a variety of functions, bulbstorm is the key to help you to connect to that expertise.  Our collaborative approach to innovation means ideas of greater quality and appeal can emerge from concept to reality.

Bulbs are descriptions of innovations.  They are the unique ideas, products, services, processes, concepts, and business plans posted on bulbstorm.  The stage of development for a bulb can range from a rough idea or concept to a fully developed product.  “Bulbers” can decide whether they want to keep their bulb to themselves, share with friends, or share with the entire bulbstorm community.

The security and confidentiality of your work is very important to bulbstorm.  We work hard to ensure our site is a safe place in which you can share your ideas. 

Your most important security measure is to ensure that no one has access to your bulb unless you have provided permission. Make sure to consider this when you add your idea to bulbstorm and select a sharing status that controls access to your idea/bulb. Your selected sharing status allows youto select what information will be shared, and with whom.

Bulbstorm recommends you consult with your attorney aboutyour intellectual property rights andprotecting ownership of your work.

On bulbstorm you can best secure your idea by sharing your ideas with those you trust, and by utilizing a Non-Disclosure Agreement when sharing information with others.

Bulbstorm offers all basic services free to innovators.  Beyond our core services we are planning additional features for premium members.  We also offer robust capabilities suited for companies with specific innovation needs.

Companies can utilize bulbstorm in a number of different ways.  First, bulbstorm is a great resource for reaching out to innovators in your field. Second, by posting some of your own “bulbs” you can get feedback from the community and test market receptivity prior to investing significant resources.  Finally, a company membership allows you to solicit specific kinds of innovation from the community and for bulbers to submit bulbs to your company for review.
